Sarah O’Keeffe is a mixed-media artist based in the Albury/Wodonga region, working from her home studio in Thurgoona. She is driven by a love for colour and texture. Whether through paints or macramé cord, she is constantly inspired by the landscapes, nature, and bright possibilities all around her. Her creative process is intuitive and unfiltered, letting colour and form lead the way. Every new creation feels like a fresh adventure.

Creativity has always been in Sarah’s DNA. Growing up as the middle child in a busy family of five kids, her home overflowed with colour, imagination, half-finished projects, and everyday objects that somehow turned into treasures. Her mum had a gift for design shown through sewing, decorating, and gardening. Her dad was endlessly curious, crafting furniture and keepsakes using skills passed down through generations. Her parents encouraged her to push ideas, learn new techniques, and keep going when things felt messy or uncertain. Imagination and resourcefulness were ingrained in their home, a belief that beauty can be built by hand and heart.

Losing both her parents far too young reshaped everything she knows about resilience, love, and purpose. Art became her way of staying connected to them, a place where their lessons live on through colour, texture, and joy. Every piece she creates carries a little of their spirit: inventive, thoughtful, and full of heart. Art reminds her that there is always beauty and possibility surrounding us, even when life shifts.
